This unisex sweater is worked in the round from the bottom up. When sleeves are joined to body, then work will change to back-and forth to create the shawl collar and finish working the sleeves and upper body shaping. The sweater features several different cabled patterns and a ribbed shawl collar. Inspired by the 1930s designer, Cecil Beaton, it’s a wonderfully cozy garment.

The sample is shown in size 36” finished bust with 0” of ease.

You will need approximately 800 (800, 1000, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1400) yards of a worsted weight yarn to complete this project as written.

Yarn: Harrisville Designs Highland (100% Wool), 200 yds/100 g skein), color: Oatmeal, 4 (4, 5, 5, 6, 7, 7) skeins
Needles: US4 (3.5mm) 28-inch or longer circular needle and US4 (3.5mm) set of DPNs or your preferred method for working small circumferences in the round for the sleeve
Notions: Stitch markers, removable stitch markers, waste yarn, tapestry needle

Elongated Honeycomb Aran: 24 sts x 30 rows = 4 inches
2x2 Rib: 20 sts x 30 rows = 4 inches
Little Plait Cable: 26 . sts x 30 rows = 4 inches
Raveled Braid: 24 sts x 30 rows = 4 inches
