Becky Doll
Becky’s long hair is escaping from her slouch hat and curling down over her shoulders. She’s wrapped her favourite new scarf with big pom poms around her neck, and put her hands in her pockets to keep them warm (She refuses to wear gloves!)
Now she is ready to head outside to meet her friends.
This pattern is suitable for confident beginners- All the doll, clothes and accessory pieces are knitted flat and use basic shaping.
Becky dolls head, body, legs and feet are knitted in one piece from the top down. The arms are knitted separately and sewn on. This means that there is minimal seaming required.
If you prefer to knit in the round using DPNs or Magic loop method, this pattern adapts very easily, simply join to work in the round and place your round marker at the row end position.
Make 1 stitch and slip, slip, knit, are used- I explain how to do these stitches in the pattern. Also included is a tutorial to show you how to make mini pom poms.
