To make the brim on this hat, the knitting is turned inside out after the lace work is done. The circular knitting is then done in the opposite direction so that when the brim is turned up, the right side of the lace work is showing. This may cause a small hole, but it will not show in the turning.
This is a quick hat to make, but is warm and impressive.
