A spiral beanie with contrast surface-crochet resulting in a beehive look. A perfect autumn/winter hat.

I have been making and selling these beehive hats since 2004, at Northern Rivers, NSW and Old Spitalfields, London markets.

This pattern is adaptable to use with a variety of yarns and hook sizes – using one colour or contrasting colours.

A creative little project. An easy pattern resulting in an array of beanies. You can make beanies to suit all ages and all head sizes.
