This pattern creates a button cowl using worsted weight yarn and a size J crochet hook. The ribbed cowl gets fastened with two buttons and gathers gently around your neck for a cozy, on trend look. The stitches used are chain, double crochet and single crochet. An advanced beginner could handle this project. Red Heart Soft works well for this cowl, but any worsted weight yarn will do.

The finished cowl will measure approximately 30” long and 9” wide.

Size J - 6mm Crochet Hook
Worsted weight (size 4) yarn, one skein Red Heart Soft (250 yards)
Two 7/8” or 1” buttons
Yarn needle for weaving in ends
