This beautiful lace cowl has beautiful lace detail inspired by bees and honey, it also has a lovely moss (seed) stitch border around the top and bottom edges. For the lacework, the even rows are knit plain and for the odd rows the lace stitches are worked (including K2tog, SSK, YO, ktb, sl1-k2tog-psso).

The cowl is knitted in the round with 4mm (6US) circular needles.

The blocked measurements of the cowl are circumference 60” (152.5cm) and length 16” (40.5cm).

The cowl is knit with DK weight yarn, 3 balls of The Fibre Co., Arranmore Light (DK weight; 80% Merino wool, 10% cashmere, 10% silk), 100 grams/300meters (328 yards):

  • 3 balls (total of 900 meters (984 yards)) in Finian colour

The Fibre Co Arranmore Light has a beautiful rustic feel with the texture of the colour and is soft, perfect for this design.

The pattern includes a chart for the lace.

Hope you enjoy the pattern! Happy knitting!
