Beginner Basketweave Cowl
This pattern is available as a
free Ravelry download
This cowl is worked flat and the cast on is seamed to the bind off after knitting is complete. This is a good project for people who have just learned to purl - working basketweave is good practice in recognizing knits and purls and counting rows.
The cowl can be made as long (or short) as desired before seaming, and additional width can be added by increasing the cast on in increments of 8 stitches.
Gauge is not critical.
