PATTERN INFORMATION

• Your PDF purchase includes written instructions and helpful photographs to aid in construction.
• The pattern is written in English using US crochet terminology.
• The pattern is formatted to have one featured image at the beginning of the pattern for reference with all other full-sized images at the end for easy, optional printing.
• The pattern includes a printable checklist that allows you to track your progress with each round/row and document the hook and yarn colors used. Print a new checklist each time you make the design and keep the master pattern free from markings to be used again and again.

SKILLS NEEDED

• The skill level needed is advanced beginner.
• The techniques you will need to know include chain, single crochet, standing single crochet, slip stitch, single crochet increase, invisible decrease, working in the back bar of the ch, double crochet, working in the back loop only, the invisible finish, joining a chain to form a loop, and the adjustable (magic) ring.
• Hand embroidery and stitching are also used in this project.

• yarn in your choice of colors (about 130-165 yds/118-151 m of worsted/aran)
• a size E/4 (3.5 mm) crochet hook
• stitch markers
• tapestry needle
• stuffing

• chopstick to help stuff

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Using hook size E/4 (3.5 mm) and worsted yarn the Beginner-Friendly Bear measures approximately 8.25 inches (21 cm) from the bottom of the foot to the tip of the ear.
