Beginner's Hand Warmers
The perfect first knitting project!
These hand warmers knit up quickly with thick yarn and simple stitches.
Experienced knitters can make these in an afternoon - perfect for last-minute gifts or when you need some instant gratification.
Thick, cosy stitches keep your hands warm with these simple hand warmers. Knitted flat and seamed up the side makes it easy to customise the fit.
Yarn
Fiddlesticks Peppin 14
(100% fine merino wool; 97m per 100g ball)
1 x 100g ball in desired colour
Sample shown in Forest 1420
This yarn is available in Australia (and we ship worldwide!) here.
Or substitute any 14ply/Super Chunky yarn with similar meterage.
Needles
6.50mm pair knitting needles
Tension
Gauge isn’t crucial in this pattern. If your stitches are too loose, go down a needle size. If your stitches are too firm, go up a needle size. If substituting aim for a yarn with a similar meterage per 100g.
