Beige Contemplation
Beige Contemplation is a large shawl knitted as simple as possible: timeless garter stitch, a light neutral color and a simple lace pattern. The rhythmic and repetitive pattern is calming and so contemplative. Perhaps I knitted solely for the purpose of relaxation and relief.
The symmetrical shawl is a timeless design and suitable for many occasions: a business lunch, a summer picnic or just an evening walk. I was looking for a warm neutral color . The color Antique Lace by Madelinetosh just seemed perfect to me for this minimalist pattern. Beige is the New Gray!
The shawl is easy to knit and easy adjust to your liking or the amount of yarn you have, add more or less rows of Lace Pattern, it´s all up to you. Beige Contemplation is worked flat from the middle tip towards the upper edge. Its symmetrical triangle shape is achieved by working simple increases at the end of each row.
The pattern is perfect for young knitters and for meditative knitting too. I used 3 skeins of Fingering weight yarn for the large version and two skeins for the smaller version.
