skill level: adventurous beginner/intermediate
finished measurements: child (teen, adult s/m, adult m/l)
to fit 18”(20”, 22”, 24”) / 46cm (51cm, 56cm, 61cm) head circumference and 9” (10”, 10.5”, 11”) / 23cm (25cm, 27cm, 38cm) measured crown to base of ear.
notes: hat diameter can easily be adjusted by adding or subtracting 10 stitches at cast on. Due to the nature of the crown decreases, this hat will look best worn fitted as opposed to slouchy and there is not a lot of wiggle room in the body as far as removing length. If you are not meeting gauge I strongly recommend changing needle size or yarn weight. I will be working up a fingering weight yarn version very soon which will allow more flexibility in sizing.
materials: sample knit using Cascade Yarns Venezia Worsted 218 yards(199 meters) per 100 grams(3.53 ounces)

sizing info: sample is modeled on both an adult female with a 21” head circumference and my 5-year-old son with an 18” head circumference. The main difference with each size is cast on number and an explanation of where you can add length to the hat.
