As of 2/11/13 I am revising the pattern to include a chart to help clarify the palm and cables. An update will be sent to everyone as soon as the pattern is revised.

I fell in love instantly with the long, cabled mittens Kristen Stewart wore in Twilight and New Moon. I had to have a pair for myself as well, but I noticed that many existing patterns didn’t have the original palm stitch of the movie mittens. I spent many bleary-eyed nights researching the design of the originals, and finally, after many swatches, recreated the original palm design. I worked so hard on this replication that the best thing I can do is share how I did it.
