DESCRIPTION
Belmullet Pullover is a cabled pullover inspired by traditional Irish sweaters. Named after the town in Ireland my grandparents lived by before they moved to the United States, this design is a nod to my generations of knitting ancestors and my grandmother who first taught me to knit.
With a top-down construction, modified drop shoulder fit and shoulder shaping, this sweater blends the classic Aran sweater style with a modern fit and construction. This gender-neutral design includes two fit options, as well as guidance on further modifying sleeve and body lengths to suit your own body.
SIZING
This pattern is graded to 2 fits types with 10 sizes each. Both fit types are designed to fit bodies with bust/chest measurements between 30-66” (75-165 cm). All sizes include an additional 8” (20 cm) of ease in the finished garment.
Fit I is graded based on a traditional women’s sizing chart and has narrower shoulders, shorter armhole depth, smaller bicep circumference, shorter body, and shorter sleeves. Fit II is graded based on a traditional men’s sizing chart and has wider shoulders, deeper armhole depth, larger bicep circumference, longer body, and longer sleeves.
