Inspired by Nordic style colorwork, the Benka Cowl will get you started on stranded knitting. The easy version uses two colors, with resting sections of just one color; the length is shorter, and it uses fewer charts. A more experienced colorwork knitter can make the medium version, which is a bit longer and can be modified to use three to five colors. The challenge version includes instructions to adjust the length and width and how to incorporate up to fifteen colors. The pattern for all versions starts with a Provisional Cast On, is knit in the round as a tube, then grafted together at the end. Included with the pattern are helpful tips & tricks for colorwork beginners. All colorwork patterns are charted.
