BÉRET BÉIRÍN
………………………………..
The name means teddy beret in Irish Gaelic. And what a lovely one it is! Striking the perfect balance between classic and cuddly with just a hint of 1990s edge, the elegantly structured Béret Béirín is surprisingly easy to wear. Whether you pair it with a tailored overcoat, a denim jacket, or a well-worn hoodie, it stands up to the task with aplomb. An unwaveringly loyal, fluffy companion that is an asset to any outfit… and almost alarmingly quick to knit.

Please note this pattern was designed specifically for Höner och Eir Varv yarns.
It is possible that certain boucle or textured yarns can be used as substitutes, if held multi-stranded. However, Varv’s look is unique, so it will not be the same aesthetic.
A potential mainstream substitute that can be considered is Drops Alpaca Boucle, held 3-stranded. (I have worked with this yarn, but have not myself tried it multi-stranded yet; so this is just an idea and not a ‘recommendation.’)
