You need to know how to crochet follwoing stitches (US terms)

-chain
-double crochet
-front and back post double crochet
-crochet stitches together

The pattern is written and includes a chart

For a Baby blanket I recommend at least 1500m yarn.

If you work with a small crochet hook the pattern will be more clearly
