This crescent-shaped shawl or scarf is worked bottom up with a shell lace border in a light, sparkly color of Blue Heron RTC sport-weight yarn, and a contrasting Boboli Lace. The inspiration is the Bermudiana flower (the official flower of Bermuda) as well as Bermuda’s pristine and lovely beaches.

Gauge is not important for this pattern, although if you tend to knit very tightly, you might want to use a size US #6 or #7 to increase the size of the shawl.

The shell lace pattern is bordered by a flower lace accented with a bead. The shawl pattern calls for 23 and the scarf 17 #6 seed beads which are added to the stitches with a 1.0 mm (or smaller) crochet hook.
