Berry Parfait
SKILL LEVEL: Advanced Beginner
Note: Two additional hanks of yarn will be needed for all sizes for long sleeve version
OK, the photo’s grainy, but this is a great garment, soft and comfortable and madly interesting (but easy!) to make, well-designed, with a well-written pattern. We made a baby blanket with this stitch pattern once and were delighted with it (it’s from one of Barbara Walker’s treasuries). The back and front are identical, so it’s reversible, and there’s a long-sleeved option, and the ribbed edging matches the hundreds-of-years- old theme very well. Altogether a soft, comfortable, but striking garment. Modified drop shoulder (peasant sleeve). First gauge is generic for this yarn; second is specific to this pattern.
