Berry Patch
This cosy shawl is worked in garter stitch in two colours. It is creating a fascinating effect by making use of the interplay of alternating garter bands, slip-stitch stripes and reversing colours.
It‘s an easy to wear, eye-catching shawl that will keep you warm throughout the colder days of the year :)
Berry Patch is a triangular, sideways, bias knit shawl with a curved top edge, which is worked in one piece from one tip to the opposite edge.
SIZE:
along top edge: 225cm/88.6“
depth: 58cm/22.8“
YARN:
Designed for fingering weight yarn in two contrasting colours.
Allow approx. 430 yds / 390 m of each colour.
Yarn used for sample:
The Plucky Knitter Plucky Single (fingering weight, 100g = 430yds/393m), 1 skein each in colourways Putty In My Hands (A) and If It‘s Not Baroque (B)
GAUGE:
Is not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 19 sts x 38 rows = 10x10cm/4x4“ in garter stitch on 3.5mm/US4 needles after blocking.
Pattern contains fully written out as well as charted instructions.
I hope you’ll enjoy the pattern!
