A little pattern for scrap yarn!

I love chandelier earrings, but often find that the larger styles are too heavy for my ears. The solution came to me one morning when I woke up with the idea of knitting a pair of earrings. After some experimenting I came up with these Berry Trapezoids. The simple lace pattern fits the chandelier shape and the three bobbles act as “gem stones”. I added a little luxury by working with a second strand of a mohair and silk yarn throughout the pattern, but you can use any yarn you like, of course! These earrings are a great project for whatever piece of scrap yarn you have lying around, that is simply too pretty to throw away but too small to do much of anything with.

The size of the earrings can be changed by using a different weight yarn or needle size. Varying colors and fiber content can change the look as well, allowing for the creation of several pairs that are each unique.
