Beryl Berry
My daughter, Beryl, asked me to dye yarn for her and knit her a sweater (she’s 4…and knows what she wants). She helped pick the color to dye, and from there I designed a sweater for her.
It’s a simple raglan, worked from the bottom up - Sleeves knit from the cuff up then joined to the body. The hem and the cuffs are worked in a lace and cable design, with a subtle cable working up each sleeve to the shoulders. The neckline is a simple rolled hem. Using alpaca yarn makes the sweater light enough for Spring, but also a good layer for colder winter days.
Additionally, a recipe for Floral Cookies (a sugar cookie with flowers on them) is included. It is a sort of a sugar cookie, flavored with vanilla and orange zest. Spring is approaching here now, and I’m longing to see all the blossoms that it brings.
Lastly, a HUGE thank you to chickennanna on Ravelry for testing, and for Beryl Amélie for modeling!
