Fans of the Moomins, the characters created by Finnish author and illustrator Tove Jansson, will love the new book of sock patterns from Linda Permanto.

Among the Moomin-themed patterns is this pair featuring the character of The Groke. They’ve been designed for larger feet, and will be lovely and warm inside a pair of boots as they’re knitted in a DK-weight yarn.

The leg is worked using the intarsia technique, and the foot is worked in Fair Isle. Small details are embroidered on to the finished sock.
