This design is inspired by a friend of mine. She is a descendant of and spokeswoman for the Anishinaabe tribe.
According to legends from indigenous peoples
located in northern Canada, the winter maker, also called Biboon, is the name of the one who brings the winter.

The body and sleeves are worked bottom up. The arms are knitted separately and sewed in afterwards.
