Get your favourite two-wheeler ready for all those trips to the market with a pretty and practical basket. Crocheted in sturdy garden twine, it’s adorned with a jewel-bright trim, which only uses a small amount of yarn, so it’s perfect for busting that stash. The bag attaches to the handlebars of your trusty steed and is perfect for carrying all your essentials in style.

You will need:

2 x 400g 5ply Cardoc Garden Twine (100% Jute)
8 mm hook
2 x 15mm L shaped metal brackets
Hardboard to fit shape of base inside (optional)
2 x bicycle basket straps
Cotton thread

For the Trim:
You need around 30g/ 50m of dk or aran weight yarn to make the trim. The trim should fit between the two basket straps and the pattern can be easily adjusted to fit the size of your basket.

I used Rico Creative Cotton Aran (100% Cotton)
1x ball each of A, Cardinal (11), B, Sky Blue (37), C, Light Green (40), D, Tangerine (76) and E, Fuchsia (13)
4mm hook
