Big Easy
Originally designed for the KNITopia New Orleans event, the Big Easy has an unusual construction and utilizes several techniques to keep the knitting interesting and fun.
While knitting the shawl, you’ll learn:
- The absolute best (and easy!) way to begin working in the round on just 8 stitches with double-pointed needles
- How to make a swirling circle from the center out
- How to knit simple short rows
- Mosaic knitting using just one color per row
- Easy (read that: fast and fun!) surface embellishment using a crochet hook
Made with fingering weight yarn, it is perfect for the fun, gentle, slow, and easy-going lifestyle rhythm of New Orleans!
