Bip the Bunny
Bip the Bunny is a cute little bunny with oversize features – big feet, ears, eyes and a beautiful bow!
The pattern is easy and uses US terms. A knowledge of how to crochet is essential as it does not teach you how to crochet, it simply provides instructions to make the toy.
Your tension, yarn thickness and hook size used will affect the size of your finished item. My Bip is approx. 12cm tall using Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK yarn.
You will need:
- 2.5mm hook/C-2 (US)
- 8ply yarns/DK or Light Worsted > less than 50g in each colour
- BLACK 4ply yarn or embroidery thread
- A pair of 9mm safety eyes
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester toy stuffing
- Stitch marker (optional)
Notes:
- Amigurumi is usually worked in the round and a yarn with no stretch is best.
- Generally, the hook you use for amigurumi will be a smaller than for other crochet as you want the stitches tight.
- I’ve used Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in the following: o BEIGE = col. 408 Vanilla Cream o PURPLE = col. 442 Dusty Rose o PINK = col. Blush Pink 454 o WHITE = col. 403 Champagne White
