Horizontal band at the bottom of the cardigan is worked from side to side. Stitches for the double moss stitch edging are picked up along one selvage of the horizontal band and worked downwards to the lower edge. Stitches for the body are picked up along the remaining selvage of the horizontal band and worked in one piece to the armholes, then divided for working the fronts and back separately.
