Bistrup is a beautiful placemat with a geometric pattern in three colors.

The placemats can be made in any color combination. We have made four suggestions, but it’s up to you to choose the colors that will complement your home and get creative.

NOTE! The specified amount of yarn is for a single placemat with colorwork. Approx. 155 grams is needed for each placemat.

Pattern information
This place mat is worked with 2 strands in garter stitch with 4 purl stitches in each side.
Increase/decrease at the end of row before the edge stitches.

Garter stitch
Knit all rows to form the ribs. The first knit st after the 4 edge stitches is worked through back loop.

Edge stitches
The edge stitches are worked in purl stitches on all rows.

Increase, at the end of the row: Before working the 4 edge stitches, pick up the yarn the last stitch before the edge stitches and knit through back loop.

Decrease, at the end of the row:
k2tog just before the 4 edge stitches.
