These are a pair of stranded colourwork hats inspired by Bitossi ceramics from Italy. They are a slightly slouchy style of hat in an adult size with the option of mix and matching the patterns to make longer or shorter versions.

Although I used hand-dyed wool for all the examples shown in the pattern, the hats would be equally stunning using a single coloured main yarn and a lighter and darker contrasting yarn for the patterns. These hats would be ideal for using up small amounts of yarn leftover from other projects. One 50g ball of main colour may be enough to finish a hat (depending on the meterage of the yarn) and less than half a ball of each of the contrast colours will be sufficient.
