FINISHED SIZE:

ONE SIZE: 0-6 months: 3.25” wide x 4” tall (8.25 cm x 10 cm)

MATERIALS:

Expression Fiber Arts Buttery Worsted yarn

Shown in color: Faded Rose

The sample shown used 39 yds (36 m) total.

If those colors aren’t available, any from this category will work.

NEEDLE:

US size 6 (4.0 mm) in either DPNs, 9” circulars or 30” circulars (or your preferred cord length for magic looping) or size needed to obtain gauge

SKILL LEVEL:

Adventurous Beginner: For those knitters who are ready to learn some new skills or stitch combinations. Stitches include knitting in the round, increases, and decreases.

Notes From the Designer:

My sweet, little grandniece was born needing immediate open-heart surgery. It was such a stressful, fearful time for our family watching such a tiny, new human have to undergo such a scary operation. She pulled through and is happy and healthy today! I wanted to make her some adorable, wee mittens, as she heads into her first winter. I’m sure the first of many things I’ll make her! I hope you enjoy making these lovely, little mitts!

• These adorable baby mittens fit newborn to 6 months. The size can be adjusted by casting on in multiples of 6. If you add stitches, you may need to work additional repeats of decrease Rounds 15-16 until you have 24 stitches on your needles.
• To make the mitten taller/longer, add rounds after Round 14.
