The primary techniques used are: garter stitch, pu&k, intarsia with stranded colorwork (video here), and working small garter stitch pieces that are tacked.

Also used are: sewing blocks together with mattress stitch (video here), short rows (roof with vertical stripes and the clouds, only), embroidery (Garden Block and birds)
