This design was originally worked in King Cole Venice Chunky but I decided to have it reknitted in a lovely tweedy chunky yarn with flecks of blue from King Cole.
Named after a mountain found in the Cumbrian Lake District of North West England, the sweater has a bold trellis stitch pattern interspersed with single twisted ribs and a simple but effective cable.
The centre cable leads up towards the neck division and splits at the neck to frame the collar.
The cross-over inset collar not only looks great but is wonderfully warm too.
This design is suitable for women as well by simply reversing the joining of the collar to the neck edge at the front.
