I absolutely LOVE combining double-knitted brioche with double-knitting.

The contrast between the complex ridges and furrows of the DKBrioche sections, and the smooth, pictorial stretches of double-knitted stocking stitch really appeals to me.

This simple cowl is a great introduction to working with the two techniques in the same project. It features the very simplest of DKBrioche ribs, worked in the round, and its bold, graphic, square, double-knitted blocks of colour create a really striking relief band around the middle.
