This bag was designed with summer in mind. It can hold all the essentials for a summer trip.

It has a button closure. A zip or snap closure can easily be substituted. It is worked in one colour then an interesting type of surface crochet is used for the blocks.

The bottom is worked first in rows, then stitches are picked up around the base to work the body in the round with side shaping. The top ‘V’ sections are then worked in rows.

The handle is worked as an extension of the surface crochet worked up the sides of the bag.

The bag is approximately 23cm (9in) wide at the base and 20cm (8in) wide at the top of the ’V’. The depth at the base is 3cm (1¼in).

The length from the bottom of the ‘V’ to the base is 11cm (4¼in), and from the top to the bottom of the ‘V’ is 8cm (3¼in).

The handle measures approx 58cm (22¾in) but can be made to any required length.
