My Bloom pillow is composed of eight flowers. Since the weather is finally warming up, it is a great spring project. The front side is made-up of sixteen granny squares- eight flower squares and eight stem squares. The are joined together with a single crochet stitch. The back of the pillow is simply a large green traditional granny square. The bottom of the pillow is held together with five buttons, so the pillow case can be taken on and off the pillow insert. The yellow, cream, and green yarn are all Cascade Ultra Pima yarn. The flower petals are made with Madelinetosh Tosh DK yarn in the shade, Anime Dreams; however, any DK weight yarn will work for the pattern. You will need one skein of each color. Additionally, you will need five buttons and a 14 by 14 inch pillow insert.
