BLOOMING
Top-down, seamless and easy brioche project; Blooming is a large wrap-around shawl with large fun tassel. Uncomplicated and effortless to make, with increases (brkyobrk) along edges and then larger holes created using the ‘ brk, yo’ technique numerous times making your work bloom-out. Blooming is worked in 100g skein or Dk yarn, 100g skein of 4ply and 50g pop of 4ply pink. Enjoy.
YOU WILL NEED
1 x 100g MERRY O, (hand-dyed by Verity Harris of Truly Hooked), 211m/100g (DK yarn), 50% superwash merino and 50% silk
1 x 100g GLITTERY CHAIN, 360m/100g (4ply yarn), 66% superwash merino and 34% lurex
1 x 50g CLOUD ( neon pink - hand-dyed by Verity Harris of Truly Hooked), 200m/100g (4ply), 70% brushed silk and 30% merino
4mm needle (80cm circular)
Sewing-up needle
GAUGE: 20sts and 22rows to 10cm on 4mm needles
FINISHED SIZE: when washed and blocked – width at cast-off edge: 325cm, length from top of spine/cast-on to cast-off: 100cm, large tassel length : 10cm
