Bloomsbury
Charming, unassuming, inviting-- these were the words that kept popping in my mind whilst walking through the Bloomsbury neighborhood in a recent trip to London. A largely academic area, Bloomsbury is filled with little cafes and bookshops on every street, hidden gardens here and there, and interesting architectural details. (Sounds like heaven, right?) I was instantly inspired to design something that reminded me of this special place.
The Bloomsbury pattern includes directions for TWO different sized neck accessories: a kerchief and a shawl. Do you have a sock set (full sized skein plus a mini skein) at home waiting to be knit with? This is the perfect accessory for it! You can make either the kerchief OR the shawl with a sock set!!
This pattern is knit from the bottom up, so if you get to the kerchief size and decide to make it a shawl size, then go for it! That contrasting tiny picot edge is worked in a small amount of contrasting color for a dainty pop of color and charm.
