CAROL MELDRUM has used a pretty lace rib pattern to add interest to her funnel-neck sweater and matching hat. Designed for a relaxed fit, the sweater has plenty of positive ease. Columns of lace ribbing extend up the front and back of the sweater, and up the sleeves. The beanie is worked in an all-over rib with one panel of lace rib; it has a turn-up brim and is finished with a pompom.
