The hat is knit from the brim up. The earflaps are picked up from the brim and knitted in one piece all the way down to the feet. The beak is attached separately.

The gauge for the baby knit sizing is 24sts/ 36rows = 4x4in/ 10x10 cm

The baby hat also needs two black 9/16th inch/ 13mm buttons
The adult hat needs two black 3/4th inch / 19mm buttons

From July 1st 2011 to September 8th 2011, all profits from the blue footed booby hat pattern will go towards Kenna’s fundraising efforts for her walk in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day For The Cure.
