Blue Ice Cowl
This is a quick and relatively easy project for either an advanced beginner or an experienced knitter and would be great for a gift or something nice to make for yourself using that special yarn you bought somewhere! The pattern includes cables and lace and it can be made with or without beads, depending if you want that little extra bling or not. The beads do add a bit of weight to the cowl.
This cowl design comes in two lengths, but it can be easily adjusted to make it longer (or shorter) in circumference and in the width or height.
The basic design begins with a picot hemmed border, continues with the cables and lace portion (which is both fully written out and charted for whichever method you prefer), and then ends with a matching picot hemmed border.
Gauge:
18 stitches and 25 rows per 4 inches in stockinette the round (although gauge is not terribly important for this pattern)
Finished dimensions:
Roughly 10 inches high and 30 (60) inches around (it also has a lot of stretch to it).
Materials:
Yarn: Fingering weight yarn (100 (150) grams) (other weights could be substituted - adjust the needle size and number of cast on stitches accordingly)
