Blue Jeans Gal
This is a good distraction from the problems of the world right now. We returned home after being evacuated from the El Dorado in southern California. It’s so good to be home. My best wishes for good outcomes to all those suffering right now. Sending hugs.

Winter is coming! Be ready with this wonderful, easy to wear poncho. This should fit virtually everyone as it’s a flat square with a hole in the middle for your head. Easy to put on, non-binding, pretty, and still casual, with eye catching easy lace. This is worked top down in the round. No seams! The yarn is self striping, so no color changes. I used color 5008. You can wear this with the neck square in front or with the “v” in front. Attractive either way. The bottom edge is pulled down into dramatic points during blocking.
It works up surprisingly quickly using a great worsted weight yarn and size US 10/6mm circular needles. The lace is a mixture of k, yo, k2tog, ssk, s2kpo and only two rounds of p! So, if you prefer k, this is for you. Lace knitting is just different combinations of increases and decreases. (If you run into trouble, contact me via email and I’ll do my best to help.) The chart is easy to read for most, but you can enlarge the chart if necessary. I recommend the use of magnets and/or highlighter tape to keep your place. Every other round is k, so you get a “resting” round between rounds of lace.
I include written and charted directions to please knitters in both camps. Complete directions for working from a chart are included.
This will fit a child of around 12/13 through adult.
