Bluebottle
Join us for a Hairpin Lace K/CAL in the “Cup of Stitches” group on Ravelry! There are a variety of projects which can be made in this technique (check my Pinterest board for inspiration) and they all are welcome.
If this is your first time trying the technique, this is the perfect opportunity to learn with the help, support, and encouragement that comes with joining a K/CAL.
The poncho is created with long hairpin lace strips of different colors, which are joined together and folded in half at the shoulder lines. The partial joining of the two center strips creates the neckline opening. The partial joining at the sides creates the arm openings.
This pattern assumes basic knowledge of creating hairpin strips, previous experience with the hairpin lace technique is necessary for the successful completion of this garment.
