Blumenschuhchen
I made these baby booties for my first grandchild and then for many more babies.
Many have asked for the pattern, so here is my take on it.
The pattern has not been tested, so feel free to tell me about any confusion or errata, because then I can go and amend it.
The booties are worked bottom up, in the round, then flat for the closure, with small crocheted flowers attached as decoration, so beware of some ends to weave in.
The pattern is fine for using up some leftovers, about 70-80 yards in main colour and about 50 yards in accent colour, as well as a few yards for the flowers attached.
Use any yarn up to sport weight and you will get differently sized booties for differently sized babies.
My gauge for fingering weight yarns is about 25 sts per 4”, and 23 sts per 4” for sport weight yarns.
The size can easily be adapted by adding increase rounds to the sole and decrease rounds to the upper part.
Enjoy the pattern, and please, post photos.
The pattern will be free for some time.
