Bodega Bay
From the Virtual Yarns website: “An ornate, heavy sweater with high texture, like barnacles on a rock. The patterns I designed for it came about by blending pure geometry with sea images such as waves, ropes and nets.”
Summary: Bodega Bay is a high, round-neck, woman’s pullover featuring beautiful aran stitch patterning. The hemline, neck and cuff edges are done in a small cable ribbing. The body is knit in separate pieces to be joined in the finishing stages. The sleeves are worked from the cuff upwards, ending in a cable saddle shoulder.
Skills needed : cable knitting, pick-up stitches, increase and decrease in pattern and saddle shoulder handling.
