Bohemian Shawl
This stunning crochet shawl combines flower and hexagon motifs with a pretty pom-pom trim. It is shaped to fit snuggly around your shoulders and designed to add a touch of bohemian beauty to any occasion. It is perfect for keeping the chill off during those long winter months and cool summer evenings.
It could be made using any DK weight yarn; Debbie Bliss DK Rialto would be a good choice.
The shawl is constructed using 150 circle/hexagon motifs, joined together as you work, with crochet flowers worked in the spaces in between. A pretty pom-pom trim is worked all around the edge.
The finished shawl measures 100cm wide (at the shoulders)
by 120cm in total length.
The shawl requires 15 x 50gm balls of DK merino, the pattern suggests 2 different colourways and the breakdown of colours for each design are detailed in the pattern.
The main body of the shawl is worked on a 4mm hook, and the pom- pom trim is worked on a 3mm hook.
You will need good crochet know how to make this, but the instructions are clear and easy to follow making this a perfect progression project for the competent crafter. The pattern includes written instructions and stitch diagrams.
