I was inspired by the macramé bauble covers that are so popular right now for the design of this Christmas ornament. I really love how the beautiful star pattern shines on a simple ornament. It adds an air of elegance and sophistication to an otherwise boring bauble. I have included a YouTube video tutorial to help with the most difficult portions of the pattern.

Supplies Needed:
-Approx. 30 yards of size 3 DK weight yarn or size 3 crochet thread (NOTE: the smaller your bauble, the thinner you may want to go in crochet thread and the smaller the hook you may want to use.)
-Size F 3.75 mm hook
-Size 4 mm or 6 mm beads for embellishment (Optional. How many you need will vary)
-Christmas bauble, approx. 5.5” in size (exact size is not imperative, but the smaller the bauble, the thinner your crochet thread needs to be)
-Scissors, yarn needle, tape measure, piece of cardboard 6”-8” wide

Special Stitches:
V-Stitch - Make {1 Tr, ch 5, 1 Tr} into indicated st or sp.
Place Bead - Slide bead until it is flush with your hook. Continue st as usual.

Gauge:
Gauge is not essential for this project.

Finished Measurements:
Finished bauble cover will cover 2/3 of the Christmas bauble slightly stretched. It will cover the entire bauble once you add the bottom tassel. The object is to stretch the st pattern to make it stand out more.
