Need a smaller size? You can do one of 2 things… (1) subtract 8 stitches from cast on or (2) use size 6 & 8 needles instead.

Also, because the LA Times article required you to register for the paper to see it, I’ve uploaded my original pattern to Ravelry. I also include directions for making it a little less or more rasta cap-like, ending with or without topknot, and added an optional bill to make it a little more funky. Happy knitting!
