This bottom-up shawl has a unique construction, making it a super fun knit. I wanted to create a garter stitch and lace shawl that was different than anything else I’ve ever done. Several short row sections are worked to widen the shawl and give the garter stitch a fresh feel. It’s great to find new ways to make a triangle shawl!

Yarn Used for Shawl Shown: 1 skein of Diva from Leading Men Fiber Arts, 80% superwash merino/20% silk, 600 yards/150 grams, in the color Gothic Queen

Materials

  • 600 yards of fingering weight yarn
  • US Size 5 (3.75mm), 32” circular or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Tapestry needle
  • Blocking supplies
