Bookshelf Scarf
Growing up, one of my favorite hobbies was reading and then rearranging my library on my trusty bookshelves made by my father. As I was making this scarf I had originally planned on it being just plain garter stitch but then added in a section of ribbing to make it interesting. After alternating between the two stitch patterns a few times, I noticed that the ribbing looked like books and the garter stitch looked like a sturdy shelf and natural “clinginess” of ribbing gives the edges a nice wavy pattern without extra effort. So I present to you this very simple and easily adjustable pattern, aptly named “Bookshelf Scarf.”
I hope you enjoy this scarf and it keeps you warm wherever life takes you. Happy Knitting!
