BOOT
The Boot pattern is exclusively available as a part of the e-book, Spring Has Come!
Boot is a heavy weight sock, which can be used as a cozy house sock, or inside your wellies. The textured stitch pattern is especially comfy, and feature a unique “no short-row” heel construction.

YARN
Recommended Yarn
Briggs & Little TUFFY 2 PLY (Aran-weight; 80% wool, 20% nylon; 196 metres / 214 yards per 113 gram skein)
Yarn Amounts

Yarn Substitution
Choose a sturdy aran-weight wool with some nylon content for strength. Alternatively, two strands of a sport-weight sock yarn can be held double.
Idea: Tukuwool Sock held double.
NEEDLES
• 4 mm / US 6 double pointed needles (DPNs)
• 4 mm crochet hook (or slightly smaller or larger) for the provisional cast on
Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking.
GAUGE (after blocking)
20 stitches and 32 rows = 10cm / 4 inches on 4 mm / US 6 needles in Rib Pattern
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS
• 10 (12, 12, 12, 14, 14) removable stitch markers
• Yarn needle
NOTES
Socks are worked from the top down, from a provisional cast-on. The heel is shaped using a “no short-row” method, and the length of the foot can be adjusted to your size. The top of the sock is finished with an I-cord bind-off.
